Black Pepper Okra

Black Pepper Okra
A very simple recipe with only 3 spices
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Cooking Oil
- 1 lb Okra
- 1 medium Onion (~8oz)
- 1 Roma Tomato (~4 oz)
- 1 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- ½ tsp Turmeric
- ½ tsp Salt
- ½ cup Water
Instructions
- Wash the okra and cut off the stem and tip, and cut in 3 or 4 pieces. Slice the onions. Dice the tomato into large pieces

- Heat oil in a pot and add onions. Fry on medium high for 5 mins

- Add the okra and fry for 5 mins

- Add the black pepper, salt and turmeric and stir for 1 min

- Add the tomato and water

- Mix, bring to boil. Cover and set to low for 20 mins. Stir occasionally
- Okra will be ready to serve
