Black Pepper Okra
A very simple recipe with only 3 spices

- 2 tbsp Cooking Oil
- 1 lb Okra
- 1 medium Onion (~8oz)
- 2 Roma Tomatos
- 1 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- ½ tsp Turmeric
- ½ tsp Salt
- ½ cup Water
- ½ tsp Garam Masala (all spice) add in the end
Wash the okra and cut off the stem and tip, and cut in 3 or 4 pieces. Slice the onions. Dice the tomato into large pieces
Heat oil in a pot and add onions. Fry on medium high for 5 mins
Add the okra and fry for 5 mins
Add the black pepper, salt and turmeric and stir for 1 min
Add the tomato and water
Mix, bring to boil. Cover and set to low for 20 mins. Stir occasionally
After the okra has cooked, mix in the garam masala
Okra will be ready to serve
