Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Red Kidney Beans
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Jalapeno Pepper Diced
  • cup Onion Diced
  • 1 cup Tomato Diced
  • cup Water

Spices

  • ½ tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • ½ tsp Garam Masala (all spice)
  • ½ tsp Kashmiri Chili Powder
  • ½ tsp Salt

Instructions
 

  • Soak the beans for 4+ hours
  • Dice the onions, jalapeno peppers and tomatoes
  • Turn on the instant pot to sauté normal and add the oil. Once hot add cumin seeds and jalapeno peppers. Sauté for 30 seconds
  • Add onions. Sauté for 2 mins
  • Add ginger and garlic paste. Sauté for 1 min
  • Add tomato and spices. Sauté for 1 min
  • Add the water and the drained beans
  • Set the Instant Pot to beans. It will set to 30 mins. Let the pressure release naturally
  • Remove from the pot and garnish with cilantro
