Chicken Karahi


Chicken Karahi
Ingredients
- 2 lb Chicken – Cubed breasts or thighs
- 2 tbsp Cooking Oil
- 4 tbsp Garlic Paste
- 4 tbsp Ginger Paste
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3 tsp Kashmiri Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Cumin Powder
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 2 tsp Kalonji (Nigella Seeds)
- 2 lb Roma Tomatoes Diced
- 1/2 Jalapeno Pepper Julienned
- 1/4 cup Cilantro chopped
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a pot and add the chicken

- Fry the chicken for 3 minutes

- Add the ginger and garlic

- Mix and cook for 3 minutes

- Add all the spices

- Mix and cook for 2 minutes

- Add the tomatoes

- Mix, bring to boil. Lower heat and and let it simmer on medium low for 20 minutes covered

- Julienne the jalapeno pepper and chop the cilantro

- You will see a thick tomato gravy

- Add the jalapeno peppers and cilantro

- Simmer for another 5 minutes. Depending how dry or wet you want the karahi, continue to simmer to your desire

- Ready to serve
